Since the passage of the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act, the entire tobacco industry has been impacted by the FDA’s regulation.
Seth will present an overview of the latest news in these areas:
• Control
• Inspections
• Labeling / Advertising
• Product Standards and Approvals
• Position on Menthol
• Litigation Against the Agency.
This session will provide a detailed overview of the enforcement to date and what that might mean for tobacco manufacturers and retailers.
Seth spent 14 years with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and served as a compliance officer handling domestic enforcement of FDA-regulated industries.
His current practice includes representation of the tobacco, medical device, pharmaceutical, dietary supplement and food industries and covers both pre-market and post- market issues.
Seth’s practice is focused on issues impacting tobacco retailers, development of pre-market submission strategies and FDA enforcement of good manufacturing practices both domestically and abroad. |
